Pursuing Curiosity and Interesting Things
Hello, Fellow Curious Archivists, to Hobbies and Experiments.
This page compiles everything I’ve been trying outside of my usual wheelhouse: coding, art, writing, lock picking—basically anything that catches my attention and makes me want to dive in and expand my skill set.
These explorations come from personal curiosity rather than professional necessity. I’ve discovered that some of these experiments can teach me more than I ever expected, often in ways I wouldn’t have learned if I hadn’t bothered to try.
Below, you’ll find a compilation of articles about the things I’ve tried and the reflections that came from them.

Like any good archive, this page will be updated regularly as I remember to add new experiments. It will take time, but all the more reason to see what ideas someone else’s journey might spark in you—maybe even inspiring you to try something new yourself.
Questions to Reflect On
- If time, money, and obligations weren’t holding you back, what is one skill or hobby you would dive into immediately?
- How would exploring something completely new challenge the way you think or see the world?
- What lessons or unexpected insights might you gain from trying something “just for the sake of curiosity”?
- Could experimenting with something you’ve never done before help you see parts of yourself that you’ve overlooked?
Take a moment to reflect quietly—or jot down your thoughts—before moving forward. You don’t have to act on everything at once, but imagining the possibilities can be a small, meaningful step in your own journey.
